Concrete Blonde发展历程　

1982年，主唱、主创兼贝司手Johnette Napolitano和吉他手James Mankey在洛杉基组成了Dream 6乐队，并于1983年发行了他们的成名EP，鼓手Harry Rushakoff加入了乐队。1986年，他们来到好莱坞，在这里签了I.R.S唱片公司，并在R.E.M乐队主唱Michael Stipe的建议下把队名由Dream 6改为Concrete blonde，反映了乐队硬摇滚音乐风格和内省歌词的对比，1987年，他们发行了自己的第一张专辑，并且一直在这里发行了五张专辑和两张精选。在专辑 Bloodletting中，由Paul Thompson担当鼓手，当时Rushakoff正在接受戒毒治疗。在乐队成立十年后的1996年，终极精选辑《Recollection：The Best of Concrete Blonde》的发表也标志着Concrete Blonde的黄金时期已经结束，而之后在21 Ark公司发行了一张颇为即兴的专辑之后，Johnette Napolitano最终宣布乐队解散，她和他的亲密爱人Jim Mankey来到南方的墨西哥茫茫沙漠中过起了隐居生活。但是这注定不是属于Johnette Napolitano的生活方式，没有音乐，她无法得到幸福。2002年乐队重组。由于缺席几场排练和演出，Rushakoff也在2002年被乐队开 除，鼓手Gabriel Ramirez取代了他的位置。
